Some advice from a Saints fan

Northampton is the Rugby town – good pubs, real food and a bit frayed round the edges but heaps of tradition (a bit like Belfast really).  Milton Keynes is a smart New town (not yet a city but it likes to pretend) with really good shopping, a grid road system like Palo Alto, and lots of swanky bars and up market bistros.

(Seems to us that “its one for the money and one for the show!”)

The Saints supporters club will be laying on coaches from Franklin’s Gardens to our second home for the day Stadium:mk (note the trendy name – redolent of the poseurs who run the city – oops town. )

You can book online for the coaches – here The trip is on line now at £8.50 for adults, and £6.50 concession.

Leaves Franklin’s Gardens (by the statue) at 11am on the Sunday.  We are also hoping to have a “bit of a do” on the coach trip – so bring some butties and liquid refreshment.  The trip is about ½ hr.

The Thomas a Becket (St James Road) – under new management (Aussie Rich – get him bent out of shape with adult discussion on the state of Aussie cricket and rugby) and Mrs Aussie Rich produce good real ales and food and will be laying on a band at the Pub on Saturday night (THEY DO NEED SOME FLAGS TO COVER UP THE MUNSTER ONES FROM LAST YEAR)
