A report from Mr Bill the Bus-conductor:
All went well. Despite a five hour delay leaving Dublin Airport on Friday….the bus was still waiting for us in Milan!
37 made the Milan – Parma trip. We had a small prize draw on the bus (free to those travelling) to add URSC value to the journey.
We had 56 names for the Parma – Viadana match trip….but 66 turned up….fortunately, following some negotiation between Mr Bill the Bus-conductor, the interpreter and the bus driver, the driver played ball and the extras stood of course, (as do all true Ulstermen when it comes to rugby). The bus driver was rewarded with a large wad of the folding stuff….bang goes the raffle money!
Everyone had a good time. No major mishaps. No one left behind.
Thanks for the photo lads! Anybody else?
(We nicked the rest of them from the FRU!)

As one of the “extras” who turned up trying to get a lift on the bus, I want to thank Jonathan Bill for going out of his way to accommodate me and my two travelling companions. I really enjoyed the day – the result obviously helped – and all credit to the Italians in the Clubhouse afterwards who were very hospitable.
and Bill W, please don’t forget the poor soul that gave up his seat for one of your travelling companions on the return trip! Coach link to ground ~ great! (walking to the ground wouldn’t have been quite the same, and even Bills Latin wouldn’t have got us negotiating the 20km and twists ‘n turns!) A great result after a fine second half! Excellent clubhouse, and a few good songs from a raft of proud Ulster supporters (after we’d got the ice broken, and the wine and beer all consumed!
