Player of the Season 2015/16
Sponsored by McNeillys Jewellers

A strange season with the Rugby World Cup dominating the pre-season preparations and early season performances; 4 wins against French opposition in the European Cup not enough for progression; mediocre results in the Pro12 – yet a double over long time leaders Connacht – and with two wins in our final fixtures a place in the play-offs which seemed a forlorn hope a month ago is within the team’s grasp.PotS 14-15Darren got his hands on the coveted bronze trophy and almost equally desirable Stan D’Upp print last season
.                                                                    ……. who will win similar this season?

So who within the Ulster squad has impressed this season?

Rob Herring has been a regular stand in skipper and such is his ability in the loose stand out back row!

Franco van der Merwe has been a model of consistency whilst partnering Tuohy, Browne, Diack, O’Connor & Stevenson in the ‘row

Nick Williams has been back to his barnstorming best…we are gonna miss him

Paddy Jackson, unwanted by Ireland, has used his consistent game time to pull the strings for Ulster

Stuart McCloskey has been immense throughout the season, deservedly getting his first Irish cap and Twickenham – a performance that should earn him further international recognition

Craig Gilroy, another deemed not good enough for Ireland, continues to use his dancing feet to score regularly for Ulster

Luke Marshall has put his injuries behind him and has put in a series of fine Ulster performances meriting a return to the Irish squad

These are just some of the Ulster players that have shone this season – but the choice of player is yours
